Tofino Surf Beach Access

Parking is limited at the Cold Water Classic Beach locations so hop on a bus, bike or walk down to the local beaches. The main stage for the surfing will be Cox Bay Beach and it's just out of the village area. Walking is not a problem but it's a good hike from the village. Biking is perfect - get's you warm so you can stay that way once you reach the Cox. Busing is another great option for those of you visiting.

A free bus shuttle will be picking up and dropping off people from these locations between town and the beach where the competition is being held.

Biking to the beach is fun and safe in Tofino. There is a separated bike path and walking path that goes from downtown all the way to the first turnoff at the North End of Cox Bay - where most of the waves will probably be. The second turnoff down Maltby Road is just a bit past the end of the bike path and takes you to the mid-section of Cox Bay.

It'll take you about 15-20 minutes to ride the level, paved bike path from the village to Cox Bay. Once at either place you should be able to find something to lock your bike to. We usually don't bother to lock them but during the event with so many people around it may be a good idea just so it doesn't get misplaced.
